WE ARE THE MAINSTREAM

we are the mainstream is a collective of First Nations, Women of Colour and Gender Diverse folk of Colour, created to elevate our experiences, celebrate our stories, advocate for our causes and educate ourselves and the wider community on how to do authentic solidarity by using whatever privilege and power we may hold. They aim to create safe spaces where women can have courageous conversations and challenge systems and structures of power. 

They are not a charity nor a Not-For-Profit. Instead, they seek authentic solidarity from individuals, organisations and businesses who are aligned with WATM Values

WATM is created by and provides a space for First Nations, Women of Colour and Gender Diverse folk of Colour to reclaim, rename, rewrite their narratives outside White feminism as they interrogate and unpack colonial systems and capitalist structures.

Their goal is to amplify these voices and making noise to challenge and dismantle status quo and extend this welcome to the wider community of accomplices and co-conspirators in the work that they do.
